Here acidity means hyper acidity of stomach. The main complaint is sensation of burning in abdomen or food pipe.
Since it’s burning, the remedy is having something opposite of it, which is Coolant.
But while selecting coolant one should keep in mind that it doesn’t mean one should take cold food like ice creams or refrigerated cold milk or milk shake or any juices with ice in it. Taking such food will immediately give relief. But later on, it will increase cough in the body.
So, better is to take food which is cool in nature and at the same time, they don’t increase cough in the body. (We will cover this in a separate article).
Below is a quick home remedy for acidity:
Home made acidity powder:
25 GMs whole coriander seeds ( dhaniya seeds )
25 GMs cumin seeds ( jeera )
25 GMs fennel seeds ( sauf )
10 GMs dry rose petals
Black salt as per taste ( should be avoided by those who have hypertension )
Roast it for about 5 minutes separately. Then Mix all and grind it in a mixture jar, till it becomes powder. Then store in an air tight container.
Take 1 teaspoon of above powder 3 times a day with normal or matka water,
15 minutes to half an hour before breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This has no side effects. Continue taking it until acidity subsides completely.
Then, later on, one can take it every autumn (October and November) and summer (March April and May) season to prevent acidity.
