For Dry cough

Dry cough happens due to increased dryness in our body. Hence, taking oil or ghee is useful.

Hot haldi milk with 1 teaspoon of ghee can be taken 2 times in a day.

Any cooking oil like sesame oil or mustard oil or ground nut oil or coconut oil
1 teaspoon oil with half cup hot water
2 times in day
Morning empty stomach
Bedtime

For wet cough or productive cough

Make kadha from following herbs:

Tulsi 15 leaves
Lemon grass 1 entire leaf
Mint leaves 15 leaves
Clove 3
Pepper 3
Cinnamon I inch piece
Haldi half teaspoon
Ginger half teaspoon
Jesthimudh half teaspoon
Pinch saindhav salt
Jaggery 1 tea spoon

Add 2 glasses of water,500 ml
Boil till one fourth water remains, 125 ml
Take 40 ml kadha
3 times a day

Flax seeds sheera

1 teaspoon flax seeds
1 cup water, 150 ml
Half teaspoon jaggery
Half teaspoon ghee

Mix all and boil till flax seeds swells and stick consistency sheera is formed

Eat it hot.
Good for both dry or wet cough.

For curing cough, ones motion has to be clear. So to take some form of laxative, it’s useful during cough.

Erandyu, castor oil.
1 teaspoon with hot water
At bed time.
