Dryness is the main cause for constipation. So oil or ghee is helpful.
1 teaspoon ghee with 1 cup hot milk
2 times in a day
Morning and night.
1 teaspoon castor oil with hot water or milk.
Sometimes, it’s not dryness but lack of fibres in diet. So fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds will be helpful.
Or 1 teaspoon any oil available at home will be helpful.
Chia seeds or sabja seeds or isabgol can be taken with water or butter milk.
Dry fruits like prunes, raisins, dates or figs can be soaked in water overnight and taken in the morning, empty stomach.
Green Vegetable juice made with coriander, mint leaves, curry leaves and jeera powder is useful.
Any Vegetable soup can be taken.
Amla or aloevera juice also works.
Include Fruits rich in fibres like papaya, melons, banana, oranges, sweet lime; etc.
Avoid dry snacks, which create dryness.
Keep yourself well hydrated throughout the day.
Regularly doing uddiyan, agnisar kriya and pavan muktasana is very useful.
