so …..first we will understand what is cholesterol. Basically there are seven food groups in our diet.

1 carbohydrates

2 proteins

3 fats

4 vitamins

5 minerals

6 fibre

7 water

Any food we eat can be classified in the above food group. One of the food group is fat and cholesterol is a type of fat.

Fat is the stored form of energy. Whenever there is shortage of glucose in our body, it will breakdown the fats and use it.
